Waiting ...

Waiting ... waiting on God ... waiting ... silence ...

There are so many verses on answered prayer:

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16

I wait for you you, O LORD; you will answer, O LORD my God. Psalm 38:15

...ask whatever you wish and it will be given you. John 15:7

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. Matthew 21:22

Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him.  1 John 3:21-22

The list goes on and on, truly our God is faithful, but the waiting is so hard!  I send out resume' after resume' and still my inbox remains empty, my phone doesn't ring ... Sometimes it's so hard to sit back and wait while seeing others find the job that they've been looking for. It's like an awesome moment when God says, "Here you are, this is what I have for you, my child."

Early evening is when it starts to get discouraging. I've scoured the websites, the classifieds, have sent out the resumes in the morning. By the end of the day, I've been waiting for God to do something amazing ... and He's silent.

This has been a journey for me, a journey of learning. God is teaching me that HE ALONE needs to be my all sufficiency. He needs to be enough for me. I know what I want for my life, the job I want to have, but what does God  want for me? That's where the waiting gets difficult. You know He has something for you. You know His plans are perfect.  You know "good things come to those who wait" ... ahhh waiting ...

Waiting for my awesome moment ...
... my moment when God says, "Here you go, my child, this is what you have been waiting for."

In the meantime, Lord, please be all that I need; all that I want; please be enough for me.

Satisfy me Lord ...
...I'm begging You to help me see
You're all I want, You're all I need
Oh satisfy me, Lord

You're beautiful ...
You're more than all this world can give
You're beautiful, more beautiful
Your love is all I need to live
Satisfy ... Tenth Avenue North
